In SWAN™ it’s now possible to extract the model of a slot on a ridge gap waveguide, perform the design of a complete planar array, and analyze its performance, in the same way it is already done for rectangular waveguides, substrate integrated waveguides (SIWs) and single-ridge waveguides.
Ridge gap waveguide technology enables the easy manufacturing of low-loss, broadband, high-gain slotted waveguide array antennas, particularly effective at millimeter-wave frequencies.
A design example showing the potential of this technology can be found here.
